The paint jobs look fine for the first half year. Then the peeling starts at the corners, bubbling near the bathroom, and mold behind the wardrobe. Interestingly, none of that is a paint problem. It indicates the surface isn't prepared properly, which is entirely avoidable. Le Lume treats every wall the same way before a single coat goes on, for both residential and commercial spaces across Malaysia.
We work across the full range of painting and decorative finish systems used in Malaysian residential and commercial construction. Paint is not one product. It is a system, and the right system for your space depends on what the surface is made of, what environment it sits in, how much traffic or cleaning it takes, and what you need it to look like at the end. A bathroom wall, a commercial kitchen, an exterior facade, and a living room feature wall all need different paint specifications. We assess the surface and the environment first. The product and the finish come after.
In most Malaysian renovations, painting is the last trade called in- the plasterer finishes, the tiler finishes, the carpenter finishes, and then someone is called in to paint whatever is left over. At Le Lume, it is planned from the start. The team that assesses the wall applies the paint. The finish is the last thing a client sees when they walk in.
Le Lume is a complete design and build studio. If your project needs more than painting, or if the painting is part of a larger renovation or commercial fit-out, we handle everything.
Residential or commercial, new build or repainting, one room or an entire fit-out. Le Lume starts from wherever you are. If you have no idea what finish you want yet, that is a perfectly fine place to begin.
